Special Event

Reimagining America: An Evening with Gus Speth & Juliet Schor

Friday, November 8th, 2013
Etsy Labs

Hosted by Etsy in support of the Center for a New American Dream

It's an exciting time in America right now. Our consumption patterns are changing, and collaborative consumption—a system of consumption based on sharing, bartering, trading, renting, and swapping—is forging an economy that’s not only good for the pocketbook, but also benefits the environment and supports social ties.

On Friday, November 8th, Etsy will host noted authors, scholars, and environmental thought leaders Gus Speth and Juliet Schor for an evening of conversation that explores innovations in collaborative consumption and opportunities to define a new American Dream.

The evening will begin with a cocktail hour and tour of Etsy Labs, followed by a conversation with Speth and Schor, introduced by New Dream’s Executive Director Wendy Philleo, and moderated by Etsy Vice President Matt Stinchcomb. All proceeds benefit the Center for a New American Dream.
