Turn the Tide is a powerful program of nine actions each of us can take that will have a measurable, positive impact on our world-and it lets us see that impact immediately through an interactive online web site.

By taking small steps together and seeing the results of our actions, we can have a significant positive impact on the environment and be motivated to keep going. Our actions not only affect creation-they also impact our own quality of life and the lives of our neighbors around the world. Americans are consuming resources and generating waste greatly out of proportion with the rest of the world. This can rob our neighbors of clean air, clean water and precious other natural resources. Our faith traditions teach us the importance of treating people justly and living gently on the Earth. By changing a few daily consumer activities, we show compassion for our neighbors, future generations, and the Earth.
What you do matters
For every thousand people who Turn the Tide, we will save a collective 48 million gallons of water, 170 trees, and 12,250 pounds of sea life, and prevent the emission of four million pounds of climate warming carbon dioxide-every year! Turn the Tide is a way to put our faith into action.
