WEBINAR: How to Start a Seed Library

At a seed library, patrons can check out seeds for free. They then grow the fruits and vegetables, harvest the new seeds, and "return" those seeds so the library can lend them out to others.

On March 27, New Dream hosts a FREE webinar about how to start seed lending at your local public library!

Dear Friends,

As Spring approaches, we're looking forward to warmer temperatures, getting outside for walks and hikes, and poking around in our gardens. This month, we feature tips from the founders of Baltimore's newest tool library, Easter reflections from Nancy Sleeth, co-founder of the nonprofit Blessed Earth, and a guest piece from Asher Miller of the Post Carbon Institute about his group's new website,

We also muse about the unexpected success of hip-hop artist Macklemore's hit single "Thrift Shop," interview our newest board member, Holly Minch, and offer some perspective on achieving greater work/life balance.

Enjoy the latest issue of In Balance.
