Victory for Trees: Do Not Junk Registry Resolution Passed in San Francisco

The Paper Planet at www.WhatsInYourPaper.com reported that San Francisco's Board of Supervisors passed a Do Not Junk Registry resolution. New Dream has been wishin' and a-hopin' for something like this for years. Our own Sean Sheehan has travelled the country to compel lawmakers to stop the wasteful nuisance of junkmail. Someone finally listened! You can voluntarily sign up to have your junkmail stopped at www.41pounds.org.

If you're really fired up about stopping junkmail, which I know many of us are, you can go to Forest Ethics online petition for a national Do Not Junk registry (a lot like the Do Not Call Registry for those pesky uninvited dinner guests who want to conference in).
