Peanut Hotline...For Packing, Not Contaminants

Peanuts are in the news these days, but we're talking about the kind that come in boxes. Hopefully you're not buying the bad, non-biodegradable kind, but what do you do when they come in something you've ordered?

If you can't reuse the peanuts yourself, call the Peanut Hotline at 800-828-2214 to find a drop off location. In this case, it's not passing the buck to pass on non-recyclables--it's keeping all that foam from the landfill.

Consider taking a further step: let the offending company know that you would prefer they use the peanuts made from cornstarch.
