More Fair Trade Products, Now More than Ever

TransFair USA is expanding the Fair Trade Certified umbrella to include more products. Now nuts, oils, vegetables, fruits, and even sports balls may be found on their website.

Why is fair trade more important than ever? Because the global food crisis is hitting small farming families hard: some are spending up to 80% of their household budget on food. With 1/3 of the globe's population living on small farms, these beneficiaries of the fair trade system need the income and security provided by a reliable demand for their products.
