One of the problems with cities is that green space is in short supply. Another is that the green space may not have ended up with those with green thumbs.

The Washington Post explores a new trend: Sharing Backyards DC. Based on a model created by Canadians, the site has listings from some US cities, including the DC area.

So if you've been a would-be gardener itching to experience all the benefits of home-grown vegetables yourself, consult the site for potential partners. Or, if you've got a yard you have neither the time nor ability to take care of, put up a listing and spread the movement to your area.
