C3 - Carbon Conscious Consumer Campaign
New American Dream launched its “c3” (Carbon Conscious Consumer) campaign on climate change in the summer of 2007. Phase One of the campaign consists of six actions over six months that have significant carbon impact but are easy to accomplish. The steps are meant to illustrate the connection between every day actions and climate change and have catchy names such as “Eat Locally,” “Downshift Your Driving,” “Junk Your Junk Mail” and “Break the Bottled Water Habit.” Phase Two of the campaign will involve a collaboration with targeted local governments seeking citizen support to meet ambitious emissions reduction targets.
